Dear Expectant Parent(s),
Thank you for taking a few minutes of your time to even look at our web profile.
We can’t imagine the courage and strength it must take for you to make an adoption plan for the precious life growing inside you, and we are thankful for you. Know that even though we don’t yet know your name or anything about you, we have prayed for you and we’re rooting for you, whatever you decide.
We (Cameron and Lauren) met in high school in 2004 and have been together ever since, a total of 13 years! We were married in 2009. We are truly best friends. We have thought and talked about adopting children since our engagement. After 3 years of infertility, it’s now very obvious to both of us why God gave us a heart for adoption years ago. God gave us such peace in our decision to adopt that we have decided not to pursue any fertility treatments and plan to only grow our family through adoption.
Lauren is a quirky, nerdy, sassy, compassionate, introverted, animal-loving woman of God. She loves to cook and try new foods from all over the world. Lauren finished a degree in chemical engineering with high honor but ultimately followed God’s call on her life to become a registered nurse. She recently started a new part-time job close to our house that she loves! Lauren also has a huge heart for animals, especially dogs! Lauren is an explorer at heart. She loves to travel and has been to many countries in Europe, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, the US and British Virgin Islands, and a significant number of states, including Alaska and Hawaii. Lauren also enjoys being out and about (and staying in), going to sporting events, going on hikes, playing board games, and just being a beach bum while attempting (and failing!) to surf.
Cameron is a loving, serving, goofy, and fun husband. He loves hanging out with people, trying new things, and staying active outside. Cameron earned degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering which have allowed him to pursue his passion of designing aircraft. Just like Lauren, he enjoys playing with the pups, traveling, watching sports, and going to the beach. He regularly studies personal growth topics and sets goals for all aspects of his life. Cameron is looking forward to teaching the life lessons he has learned to future children. He also enjoys making friends’ kids laugh when they visit. Cameron has an unconditional love for Lauren. He likes to just look at her and smile with joy that he’s married to her. He thinks Lauren would be an awesome mom.
We both grew up with dogs and so after we bought our first house, we knew we had to get some pups! Our two dogs, Izzy and Wulfie, are the best big sisters a kid could ask for! Izzy, our yellow Lab, is beautiful, sweet, and smart, sometimes too smart! Wulfie, our large breed mix, is 100 lbs of pure love! She has a doofy, dopey, sweet personality and loves to play fetch at the park. Despite their large size, both of our dogs are great with kids, including infants. They even know what the word “baby” means! Izzy and Wulfie are part of the family, and we frequently take them on outings to the beach, out to eat, or to Lowe’s.
Both of our families are very excited about our adoption plans. We are both the oldest children in our families and both sets of parents are anxiously awaiting their first grandchild. Our siblings are also very excited to be first-time aunts and uncles! Despite the long distance between us and our families, we see them multiple times throughout the year. Each summer, we travel to Lauren’s family’s lake house in Indiana. For Christmas each year, our tradition is to all (including the dogs) pile into our Subaru and drive to Kansas to spend time with Cameron’s family.
If you can imagine us as part of your baby’s family, give Bethany a call. We chose them as our agency because we know they will lovingly support you in making the decision of whether or not to choose adoption.
Cameron and Lauren
Hi there! We’re Cameron and Lauren. Thank you for taking a few minutes of your time to look at our profile. We can’t imagine what you are feeling right now. Even though we don’t yet know your name or anything about you, we are praying for you and rooting for you, whatever you decide. We hope our profile can help you get to know us a little bit better so that you can make an informed decision about if we’re the right family to love your child. We are high school sweethearts that have been married for 10 years and together for 15 years. We have thought, talked, and prayed about adoption since our engagement. After initial testing revealed that it was very unlikely that we will ever have a biological child naturally, it became obvious why God gave us a heart for adoption all those years ago. We knew God was nudging us to take tangible steps to adopt, so we listened. God has given us such peace in our decision to adopt that we have decided not to pursue any fertility treatments and hope to only grow our family through adoption. We are so excited to start our family through adoption! We are committed to living an open adoption with you. We are open to anything from just exchanging pictures and letters to video chatting to having in-person visits with you. We want your child to know you and who you are. We also want you to feel closure and peace about your decision to choose us to raise your baby through visits and/or updates. Our hope is that our relationship with you will blossom as time goes by and that we would come to see each other as family. If you can imagine us as part of your baby’s family, give Bethany a call. We chose them as our agency because we know they will lovingly support you in making the decision of whether or not to choose adoption. With love, Cameron & Lauren
