More About Our Family
We met in 2012 when Patrick's friend Joe (who was dating Christine's best friend Anita) introduced us. Our first date was on Christmas Day and we went to see Les Miserables at the local movie theater. Patrick proposed in May 2014 and we got married in May 2015. Anita was our Matron of Honor and Joe, her husband, was our Best Man.
We love spending time together, but we have always wanted children in our lives. We have always been open to adoption, and after struggling with infertility for several years we decided it was time to take that step. In 2022 we were blessed with our miracle baby, David. Even though we now have a biological child, our desire to adopt is stronger than ever! We love being parents and we will love any child that joins our family through adoption as much as we would if we had given birth to him or her.
We love our home. It is spacious and has a big backyard. Our neighborhood is safe and welcoming. Our community has a lot of parks and good schools. There are lots of activities for both children and adults.
We are both Catholic and love our parish. We have a wonderful community there where we taught Religious Education for years and attend Mass.
We love spending time with our family and friends! In October our friends host a Halloween Party and Christine often makes our costumes (in 2022, David was King Kong, Patrick was the Empire State Building, and Christine was Ann). Every November we have a "Friendsgiving" with some of our closest friends, and then go to Christine's aunt's house on Thanksgiving. We then go to Patrick's parents' house the next day. We enjoy lighting our Advent wreath and decorating our Christmas Tree. On Christmas Eve, Christine's extended family comes over to our house. On Christmas Day we go to Patrick's parents' house and spend the day with them.
We love to take family vacations. It is something both of our families did growing up and it is a tradition we are excited to continue! We just came back from a road trip to Disney World, and our son David is a little over a year old and has already been to 11 states!

Patrick would do anything for anyone. He is kind, generous, hard-working, and always puts other people first. He is an accountant and enjoys exercising, doing work around the house, and watching sports. He is also an excellent cook!
Patrick was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. He is the oldest of 3 boys. He received his Bachelor's degree from Notre Dame and his Master's degree from DePaul. Patrick has two brothers, Matthew and Ryan. Patrick's parents live nearby and we visit with them often. His brothers live on the East Coast but we see them a few times a year.

Christine is a stay-at-home-mom. She enjoys crafts, decorating, and running. She is friendly, joyful, and loves to help people. She is very nurturing by nature and loves being a mom.
Christine was born in Oak Park, but grew up in Oak Lawn. She is the oldest of 3 girls. She graduated from Marist High School and Bradley University. Christine has two sisters: Angela and Jessica. Christine's dad died of leukemia when she was 11 and her family is very close. Her mom and Jessica live nearby and Angela lives in Wisconsin with her husband Brandon.
