Dear Expectant Parent,

Hello! We are Nick, Shelly, and Holly and we are so excited that you are taking the time to check out our profile. We have decided to pursue adoption because family is our number one priority. We are unable to have any more biological children because of life-threatening complications that occurred during the delivery of Holly. We both grew up with siblings and know how special and important that sibling bond is and we yearn for our children to experience that blessing.

Nick and Shelly were married in September of 2012 after four years of dating. They met at a country music festival and have been inseparable ever since. They share many of the same hobbies and both have a passion for the outdoors. Nick was raised and confirmed Catholic. Shelly was raised and confirmed Lutheran. They decided to marry in the Lutheran church and they have continued their walk in faith as a family in the Lutheran church.

Nick is an amazing all-around guy. He was born in November of 1987. He is a union worker for the city and he has his degrees in plumbing, HVAC, and water treatment. He grew up on a dairy farm where he learned so many valuable life lessons. He can literally fix or build anything. Nick is an amazing daddy to Holly. He has a gift at being able to get her up and completely ready for the day in record time. Nick is also an avid outdoorsman. He loves to fish, hunt, and just explore the outdoors.

Shelly is an awesome and easy-going type of person. She was born in October of 1988. She is a registered nurse at a same-day surgery center and truly puts the needs of others before her own. Shelly also has a love for the outdoors and greatly enjoys hunting, fishing, and just being outside. She is an amazing mother and will forever love her children unconditionally. She is always doing fun things with Holly like: sledding, swimming, biking, art, and reading.

Holly is a fun-loving little gal. She is going to make the best big sister as she loves other kids and is quite the social butterfly. Holly was born in December of 2014. She loves to ride bike, play on her swing set, go swimming, color, paint, read, and pretty much any other activity. She is always up for an adventure and has added so much to our lives.

We should also introduce our pets: Camden and Blue. Camden is a cat with a super mellow personality. Although, he does get spunky once in a while and enjoys to play. He is super gentle with Holly and loves to be around the family. Blue is our Beta fish, and you probably guessed it, he’s blue!

We currently live on the outskirts of a small town with lots to offer. It has an awesome school district, great shops, a public beach, numerous parks, and so much more. We live on an acre lot with a gorgeous pond in the back. There is plenty of room to run and play. We have a sandbox and swing set in the back too. In the fairly near future, we plan to build our dream house on our 20 acres that we own. We both grew up in the country, so we want to be able to provide that carefree upbringing for our children too.

As a family, we have a lot of hobbies and interests. We have many traditions: dyeing Easter eggs, visiting the Easter bunny, egg hunts, apple orchards, pumpkin picking, Halloween parties, trick-or-treating, visiting Santa, building gingerbread houses, finding and cutting down our Christmas tree, etc. We love to camp. We try out new state parks all the time and greatly enjoy pitching our tent and cooking over the fire. We also love to fish and we take our boat out whenever possible. Our town has live music every week during the summer, so we ride our bikes down to the beach and dance and listen to the music (this is one of Holly’s favorite activities).

As mentioned above, family is extremely important to us. All of our extended family live close by and we have very close relationships with everyone. Nick’s parents still are in the dairy business, so that is always fun to go and visit the farm. Shelly’s parents have a lake place up north that provides a great little get-away spot for some relaxation.

In closing, we want to thank you so much for taking the time to read our letter! If you have any further questions we would love to answer them. We truly have so much love to give and we would be so amazingly blessed and honored to be part of an adoption plan.

Thank you so much and many blessings to you,

Nick, Shelly, and Holly
