We are active and adventurous, and we love spending as much time as we can outdoors with each other, our dog, and our friends. We also enjoy reading, listening to music, and cooking together. We've been married for 4 years, but have known each other for about 15! Family is very important to us, and we see our parents, siblings and nieces and nephews (7 of them so far!) often.

About Matt

More About Matt

Matt is thoughtful, quiet, loyal, gentle, patient and kind. He is always quick to serve others, and regularly puts the peace and comfort of others above his own. There are few things he loves more than spending a day outside, preferably hiking through the woods, with the people he cares about. While he may initially seem like the most quiet person at the party, don't let him fool you! Once you get him talking, he is a great conversationalist about anything from music and literature to his current home improvement project and everything in between.

More About Val

Val has a zeal for life. Her energy and enthusiasm have produced a long list of extraordinary experiences, from trekking the globe to springing over marathon finish lines, and this list is sure to keep growing. Combined with her incredible principle, her passion has led her to a life of service. She volunteered for several years in the Peace Corps and is now establishing a career in community-based non-profit work. Val finds joy not only in great adventures but also in simple experiences, like relaxing on the couch with a new book, chatting with a friend over a cup of coffee, or taking a quiet walk around town with the dog.
