Dear Friend,

We are Chris and Laura. We have been praying for you since we started talking about adoption. Thank you for taking time to consider our family. We want to thank you for your courage. We can't begin to understand the depth of emotion you are feeling right now. What we can do is to tell you a bit of our story so that you might understand Laura and me a bit better. We met at Seminary in 2008 and since that time we have been on a fantastic, joy filled, ride. After spending time dating and getting to know each other better we got engaged at Trinity Church in New York city on our way to Ireland for a Seminary Class. In 2011 we were married. Since that time we have learned more about each other and more about God's plan for our lives. We love sports, we love to travel and see new and exciting things. What we love most is each other, our family, and God. Each year we try to visit a new state to have fun and learn new things.  We also enjoy helping with a local homeless ministry in the city. We have dreamed of becoming parents, and are excited to be on this journey together.
I come from a rather small family and Laura comes from a much bigger family.  Laura has a ton of aunts, uncles and cousins, I only have a few. Laura’s family is from a small town, mine is from a larger one. Our families are different but that is what makes us work. We take joy in our differences, in our uniqueness. We love one another and support each other. I guess you could say that our families have blended well together in the time we have been married. Laura and I take vacations twice a year with my parents, and we spend many holidays gathering wth Laura’s side of the family simply enjoying one another’s company and telling stories of years past. Family is a big part of who we are and it is our hope to bring another precious child into our family.
Chris and his sister were both adopted as infants. Chris' sister also placed a child for adoption so I guess you could say adoption has always been a part of our  story. One of Chris’ fondest memories is of being the first in his family to hold his baby sister and then to introduce her to the rest of the family. He has said that seeing the smiles on the faces of his parents as he introduced his sister to them for the first time is a gift he wishes to share again. It is our belief that God has led us to this place so that we may share our love with you. It is our hope that from our profile you will get a small look into our lives and learn more about us as you make this important decision.
We wish to thank you again for taking the time to look at our profile. This is an important moment for you and we want to thank you for your courage. May God bless you on this journey.
