Jeremy and Amber always wanted children and after finding out they were infertile three years ago, they hope to adopt a baby. Their families live within 45 minutes of each other and they both describe themselves as family people. Jeremy is his best self when he can spend time with his parents and siblings and Amber still feels that same comfort and warmth walking into her parents home as she she did when she was a kid. They both love snowmen and hot cocoa and winter, dressing up for Halloween, and building gingerbread houses in Christmas. They love spending time with their family by playing games, watching Netflix, and sharing books. Together, they want the kind of family that they both grew up where they camped and ate smores, watched Saturday morning cartoons, read Dr Seuss books, played with cats and dogs (Amber definitely describes herself as a dog-person). They want their family to be simple: where they focus on each other and helping each other be the happiest and best selves they can be.

More About Jeremy
For our first Christmas together, Jeremy made me a snow globe out of legos, a jar, some clay, and a lot of hot glue - he also bought me the novel, The Princess Bride. I think those two gifts explain a lot about Jeremy: he is thoughtful, loving, and sincerely fun. He's the guy who bet his college friends he could build a snowman with every snowfall one winter and also the kind of guy who serves on the church board. He's equal parts serious and fun and that's what I have always thought would make him a great father. Jeremy will watch cartoons, play legos or barbies, read silly books with silly voices with his children but he'll also be the kind of dad who will teach his kids manners and respect towards all with his own actions.
More About Amber
Amber has a great enthusiasm for life, whether she is working or playing. When she learned that we could finally have a cat at our old apartment, she jumped up and down and then proceeded to learn everything she could about how to train a cat to come on command. But, that's also because Amber is passionate about learning new things. One of her favorite hobbies is research and whether it's dental hygiene, biology, space ships, or new ways to train cats, she really enjoys learning. One of her most important traits, to me though, is her strong sense of empathy, which compels her to reach out to help others when she sees they may be hurting. She recently completed training for Mental Health First Aid, so that she could be even more helpful to those around her. I think though that her optimism helps her to always see the brighter side of things, which helps her see any situation in a better light. All of these qualities made me realize Amber would make a wonderful mother while we were just dating and now, knowing her better after eight years of marriage, I'm excited to see just how nurturing and loving and excitable she will be.
