Dear Birth-parents, This book has been for you to see a little bit of who we are. It seems strange to just write a letter not knowing your story. You are on one side of the table and we're at the other side of the same table. While going through some of our adoption training one explanation of having a healthy relationship with birth families has stuck with us over the years. It's like when someone marries, they have an instant extended family with their new spouse's family. Because you are important to your child, you are important to us. I didn't mention Oliver's birth family because they chose to have a closed adoption. They decided that was best for Oliver and for them. Every adoption story is one of a kind. There is always love and loss in adoption. We have prayed for our future children for years. We know God has a plan for our family and we trust Him to grow it as He sees fit. We would love to have an open adoption if that is something you are interested in. This could mean dinner dates, letters, phone calls. We will cross that bridge when we get there. Dear Expectant Mother Thank you for taking the time to look through my profile. I believe the following pages will paint a clear picture of who I am today and who I hope to be as a mother. My name is Beverly and I am adopting as a single parent. I grew up believing life's order was college, marriage and then children. Unfortunately sometimes life does not always happen according to plan. I did college, but marriage has not happen as of yet. I believe the husband God has chosen for me has not found me as yet. I am ready to be a mother and adoption is a wonderful christian option for me. I admire your decision to choose to make an adoption plan for your baby and cannot imagine how difficult this decision has been for you. What you are doing take such strength and courage. Your sacrifice tells me how much you love your child. I want you to know if you choose me to raise your child, they will be in a safe, loving christian home. Dear Birth Mother, Thank you for taking a few moments to get to know our family, and thank you for giving your child the opportunity to live her/his best life. We are Ryan and Kasey. We live in northern Michigan with our two children, Khloe Kay 8 and Tatum (Tate) Alan 4. We have been together for 12 years, 9 years of marriage. We were high school sweethearts. Our marriage has been far from easy, we have been through everything from family deaths to miscarriages. But we have made it through all of the tough times because we know we can lean on each other and we also have God. We are both professing members of our church, and that gives us all the strength we need. We both have always wanted a large family. Our two children are both miracles, as Kasey was told she would never be about to birth her own child. Khloe is our smart tender-hearted, sweet little girl. She is very competitive, she plays soccer, softball, soon basketball and also races snowmobiles. Tate is our spunky, caring and very active little boy. He loves spending his time outside riding four wheelers and snowmobiles, and playing anything with a ball. As a family we do everything together. We really enjoy being outside. A good portion of the year you can find us on our side by side. In the summer we love camping, kayaking, fishing and playing outside. In the fall we hunt, and in the winter we all snowmobile. I, Ryan, am a road construction foreman. I Work all over the state in the summer building and repairing roads for my families company. It is the only job I’ve ever had and ever want to have. I attended Western Michigan University and Ferris State University. In my spare time I enjoy hunting and fishing and fixing things in my pole barn. Kasey works for the school our kids go to as a Paraprofessional. She works part time so she can be home with Tate part time. She also has a passion for coaching. She coaches Volleyball and Softball at the high school level. She is very involve in our church as a youth leader among many other things. We love the area and community we live in, everyone is close, including our families. Both of our extended families all live within a 15 mile radius. That allows for our children to have lots of friends/cousins to grow up with. Living in such a small community means everyone knows everybody and someone is always there to help and pick you up. Hello, As we write this letter we are excited to share our hearts and our family with another child. It seems as though adoption has been a constant part of our lives through childhood friends being adopted and walking through the process with several close friends and my (Jana) brother and sister-in-law. Robert and I have been married for 14 years and have had the privilege of traveling all over the world. Robert is an active duty Marine and I am a graphic designer and photographer. We have two sons, Jack and Bennett. We love to travel and have adventures. We are an active family and love to be outside, have fun and laugh...A LOT! Our home is a house of joy. There's lots of play time and there's always a little superhero running around protecting us. We hope this book will show you the love our family has, the love we give each other and the love we hope to give to our future child and you. Robert & Jana

Although we come from very different places, San Diego and Buffalo respectively, our love has grown on the many things we have in common. We met at church in a community service group, and our relationship grew as friends who loved to serve others, run and enjoy the simple things of life. We both knew there was something more. Married in 2012, our relationship continues to build on what makes us work--faith, running, serving others, spending time with friends and family and enjoying this journey called life. We are active as a couple, and we enjoy spending time with family, friends and each other. As you will see, we don't take ourselves too seriously, and celebrate the fact that we can laugh, cry and "just be" with each other.

Brian and Cherish

We are absolutely honored and humbled that you are including our family in your decision making process. We understand that this decision is one of the biggest ones that you will ever make, and we want to let you know about our family, the love, and the encouragement that your child will receive when they become part of our family. We are Brian and Cherish, and our twin daughters Lindsey and Chelsea, who are in high school. Cherish also has an adult son, Tyler, who lives about 45 minutes away from us with his young family. Brian owns a marketing company and Cherish is a substitute teacher; she is enrolled in a Graduate program to earn her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. Volunteerism is important to us. Cherish has served on the board of the local Twins Club, Brian has served as a mentor at the local high school in their Small Business Incubator program, and runs the Trailmates program that Lindsey and Chelsea are in. Additionally, five years ago, we founded our own nonprofit, the Basket Brigade of Suburban Chicago where we pack and deliver complete Thanksgiving meals to local area families-in-need.

It takes strength, courage, and a lot of love to consider the path of adoption for your child. We are praying for you and the decision you have ahead of you. Our names are Aaron and Alison and we live in Virginia. We were married in 2007 after meeting in college serving in a local youth ministry. It was the classic country boy meets city girl story. Although from different backgrounds, we both value our faith and our families. After experiencing infertility for 7 years, we were unexpectedly blessed with our son, Elijah. After Eli was born in 2018, we knew right away that our family was not complete. We feel that adoption is a beautiful picture of God's love for us, so we want to pursue this option as we continue to grow our family. We have a lot of love to give and are excited about opening our home and hearts to a little one.
